It was just so BANG-TASTIC!!

10 August night was just so happening.

Well, some of you might be out shopping with your friends, or having a warming dinner at home with your family, or even studying real hard for exam at 24/7 MacDonald’s.

But here at LT26 of Ngee Ann Polytechnic, BA_COMMunications held our first annual event of the year - BA eNtertainment Galore! (BANG!) 2011. #Vegas Style

Up on the glittering little stage of LT26, we had so many talents of singers, dancers, guitarists, and even pianist.

Our wonderful judges Steph Micayle, Julian, and Kean had a hard time deciding the winner, simply because all the contestants had put up a really great show for everyone!

Our audience were so damn awesome as well, cheering loudly to support their favorite contestants with the ultimate energy level.

Applause for yourselves too yo.

Okay you may ask what exactly is BANG??

BANG is a talent competition held annually by BA_COMMnunications which provides a platform for students, from the School of BA, to showcase their talent before a large audience!

Well, non-BA student can also take part in this event, by forming a group, consisting of at least 1 student from the School of BA!

Students who are interested can sign up for the auditions, either as a solo performer, or in a group of 2 or more members.
Take note that the performance for the auditions should be no longer than 1 minute!

Your performance can be anything under the sun, as long as it is not offensive! You can sing, dance, beatbox, act, skate, juggle and more!

BANG! 2011

Official Rules and Regulations

Criteria of contestant

Contestants must be students from School of Business and Accountancy (BA) or groups must consist of at least 1 student from School of BA.

Contestants can either take part in the competition as individuals or as a team.
Note that: Those who take part in the competition as individuals are NOT allowed to take part again as a team, and vice versa.

Contestants must be current students of Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

Competition details

The competition consists of 2 phases, the Preliminaries and Finale.

To participate in the competition, contestants may choose to perform any talents such as singing, acting, stand-up comedy, dancing, etc as long as the performance is not offensive.

Registration is free for the competition. CCA points will be given ONLY to students of BA once confirmed as contestants for the Finale phase of the competition.

There is no limit to the number of performers in each team as long as all the members follow contest rules and requirements. The team has to fill up details required of all members of each team.

For the Preliminaries phase, contestants are to prepare for a 1 – 2 minutes performance.
Note that: Contestants are to self-prepare their own instrumentals for their performances. This includes the minus-one (background music tracks) and also the musical instruments they need.

Deadline for the submission of entries for Preliminaries is 09^th July 2011.

The result of the Preliminaries will be announced promptly through emails and after the auditions on the 14^th July 2011.

Upon entering the competition, contestants must agree to be bound by all terms of these official Rules and Regulations as established herein. Contestants agree to accept and abide the decisions of organizing committees and its judges that are final and binding in all matters.
Note that: This includes COMPULSORY attendance of all the technical runs and preparations of the competition. Any valid absentees are to be reviewed and approved by the organizing committees.

The Finale will be held on August 10^th at LT 26, Ngee Ann Polytechinic.. Contestants are expected to perform live.
The decision made by the competition's panel of judges is FINAL.

Others

In the event of the breach of any of the above rules and regulations, the organizing committee reserves the right to disqualify any participant.

Decisions made by the organizing committee are final; no questions will be entertained thereafter.

The organizing committee reserves the right to change any of the above rules and regulations when found to be unsatisfactory without prior notifications.

Prizes

· Trophies and prizes will be awarded for Top 3 Winners of the competition.

· Certificates of Participation will be awarded to all Finalists.

It’s the start of new academic year of 2011… and yes, you know it! We’re having our…wait for it…Recruitment Drive on the second week of school on the 27^th, 28^th, and 29^th of April!

BA_COMM's gonna have the first ba_comm gathering for the academic year 2010/11.

Details are as follows:

BA_COMM INAUGURATION 2010

Date: 15 May 2010, SATURDAY

Time: 10AM - 1PM (Please come 15 MINS earlier for registration purposes!)

Venue: LT50

What to wear: Casual, light clothes. MUST WEAR COVERED SHOES!

What to bring: Writing materials!

Also, we have sent an e-mail to all you bacommers.

PLEASE! Make sure you reply to us, confirming your attendance. Reply even if you're not going.

We need your response!

Recruitment Drive has ended! And shall I add, ended WELL?! :D

First of all, on behalf of the excos, I would like to thank ALL the bacommers who have helped out at the event. It would not have been possible for the event to be successful without your effort and contribution! You guys really did us proud!

HELLO LOVELY PEOPLE FROM SCHOOL OF BA!

That's right! We will be having our Recruitment Drive on the second week of school on the 28th to the 30th April.

The booth will be open at the Student Plaza which is at the NP bus stop and also at the Water Feature @ 72 from 12pm to 6pm.

Not only that, there will be awesome performances lined up specially for you guys at the Student Plaza from 4pm to 6pm.

So do drop by after class and get to enjoy these wondrous performances brought to you by BA_COMMunications!

Also, look out for us in school around Makan Place @ 52, the Water Feature @ 72, Studio 27 and other places for our flashmob. You can sign up right away with us!

We will also be crashing your lectures to tell you more about us, so watch out for us!

BA_COMM went to Marina Barrage for our outing!

But before that, all of us gathered at Marina Bay MRT station! While waiting for the others to arrive, some of us managed to...

Play card games like Bluff using poker cards,

play UNO

camwhore,

and even take macro shots of our ex-president's leg hair!

So after all of us have arrived, we left for the shuttle bus!
Well, all of us except for Ronald, Rebecca and Atiqah, who went to fetch Tyty at the control station.
Our president, Rebecca had to leave for church meeting :(

AT THE BARRAGE!

HAHA Darren and Jason were doing the CHOCO BOY dance -_-

Darren was elated 'cause he got to fly his kite! But look at those dark clouds in the background... All of us thought that it was going to rain!
Not long after that, it started to drizzle and the raindrops got heavier -_-

So we went to chill at the big, empty space on the second level.

& there, we snacked, sing songs, play some games:

played this very entertaining game (I don't know the name of the game HAHA).
Each player has to pick the name of an animal or celebrity (depending on the theme) and during his turn, has to draw a card and flip it to show it to the others. Any two players with the same number card would have to shout the opponent's animal/celebrity.
